Tom Bartel-Keyboards, Vocals Tom is our newest member, coming to us from Columbus, IN via Pittsburgh, PA and Youngstown, OH. Classically trained during his teenage years, he opted for an engineering degree (to pay the bills and support his nasty keyboard habit) but has been musically involved with countless projects for 40 years. In addition to Signs of Life, Tom is in the Indianapolis-based classic rock band – Pack of Chihuahuas. Musical/Artistic Influences: Progressive Rock (Yes, ELP, King Crimson, Frank Zappa), Jazz Fusion (Chick Corea, Jeff Lorber, Mahavishnu Orchestra), Classical (Bach, Beethoven) and Pop Rock (Steely Dan, Doobie Brothers, Kenny Loggins, CSN)

 Randy Thompson-Saxophone, clarinet, flute, wind synth

This year marks the 20th Anniversary of Randy's musical career. His previous bands include Big Back Yard, The Juke Daddies, Orquesta Tempo, The Splits, and Sound Body Jazz Orchestra Current Bands/Recording projects include Hot Wax www.hotwaxshow.com, Pavilion Music Company Big Band www.pmcbigband.com and Acapulco - Cincy's newest latin band.

Musical/Artistic Influences: Michael Brecker, John Coltrane, Eric Dolphy, Scott Page, Mark Russo, Jeff Coffin, Sun Ra, Ornette Coleman, The Who, The Doobie Brothers, ELP, King Curtis, Jackson Pollock, Peter Max, Ansel Adams...probably too many to list here.

John has been playing music for 19 years. He has performed with The Seth Alder Project, Pablo Honey, Streak, The Love Piranhas. In addition to Signs of Life, John plays in The Infinity Ball www.iballmusic.com

Rich Biondo-Acoustic/Electric Guitars. Rich has been playing guitar for 20+ years. Bands include “The Jury” in the Columbus area and “Crossfire” in the early 90’s. He’s also done many years of writing & recording . His music interest started around age 5 and still considers himself more of a fan of music, though playing with several other bands and solo gigs through the years. Musical influences old Elton John, Audioslave, Zeppelin, SRV, Pink Floyd, Slash (cuz’ of his cool hat).
